What should you do if the braking system fails?

When faced with a malfunction in the automotive braking system, we can take the following steps to resolve it:
1. Brake pads updated. Brake pads, which have become severely worn due to prolonged use, are a common cause of brake system failures. Therefore, it’s important to replace them promptly with brand-new ones.
2. Brake fluid top-up: If the brake fluid level is too low or the brake fluid is missing, it will directly result in insufficient braking power. In this case, simply replenish the brake fluid promptly to restore normal operation.
3. Seal Replacement: If the brake system has poor sealing, resulting in fluid leaks or false alarms, inspect and replace the vehicle's gaskets or oil seals.
4. Component Inspection and Replacement: Thoroughly inspect the integrity of critical components such as brake cylinders, pipelines, and fittings. If any faults are detected, immediately replace the affected parts.
5. Bleeding the brake system: If air in the brake system is causing a malfunction, you can eliminate the issue by repeatedly applying the brakes to expel the air from the system.
6. Main brake valve replacement: If the main brake valve starts leaking air from the exhaust port, compromising braking performance, it should be promptly replaced with a brand-new one.
7. Seal Replacement: If the seal on the cavity piston of the main brake valve is damaged, causing a malfunction in the braking system, the damaged seal should be replaced immediately.
8. Brake master cylinder cleaning. If foreign objects are found inside the brake master cylinder causing blockage, thoroughly remove the obstructions to ensure the passages remain completely clear.
9. Brake Pedal Replacement. A damaged vehicle brake pedal can directly affect braking performance. In such cases, the pedal should be replaced with a brand-new one to ensure optimal braking responsiveness.
